A journey of inner-self to transcend reality and impact your awareness. Understanding and Integrating the Balance of the Six Dimension of Wellbeing and the Five Elements Theory in your Lifestyle.

The journey of the inner balance

The basic concepts: Qi, Yin & Yang and Wu-Qi

Qi is a simple term to understand if we think of it as a kind of electromagnetic force. The electrical charges involved are subtle, just as when two people touch and experience sparks of static electricity. Whatever people do, because of their Qi, the more Qi we have, the more active and creative we can be and the more we can accomplish. This is our vitality.

The terms Yin and Yang refer to the interactive opposites in any part of the Universe. The balance of yin and yang in the body forms the basis of energy work and is the key to overall health at all levels not just the physical. When yin and yang are in equilibrium, it becomes easier to enter the Wu-Qi state. The Wu-Qi state is a dimension in which we interconnect to the world, but it is in us as much as we are in it.

The Five Elements Theory

The concept of “Correlative Cosmology” has traditionally been described as the “Five Elements”. It also means “Five activities” or “Five movements”.

These dynamic and process-oriented characteristics led to their later naming as “Five Phases.” These five phases are Wood (木), Fire (火), Earth (土), Metal (金), and Water (水), respectively. As perceived in terms of physical materials, related phenomenon, and energetic properties, the system is much more complex and dynamic than physical “elements.”

A key aspect of the yin-yang system is the five phases. Aside from environmental or nature issues, it also considers the energy of feelings and emotions.”

The Five Elements Theory

The cycle of the Elements

In traditional Chinese medicine, the mind, emotions, senses, internal organs, tissues, and meridians are all interconnected. All life aspects base on the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Each element controls the organs and functions of the body associated with taste, colour, and other aspects. The ancient Chinese knew the five elements and balanced their lives according to their natural cycles.

Productive Cycle

• Water produces Wood • Wood produces Fire • Fire produces Earth • Earth produces Metal • Metal produces Water

Controlling Cycle

• Fire controls Metal • Metal controls Wood • Wood controls Earth • Earth controls Water • Water controls Fire

Weakening Cycle

• Water weakens Metal • Metal weakens Earth • Earth weakens Fire • Fire weakens Wood • Wood weakens Water

Insulting Cycle

• Earth insults Wood • Water insults Earth • Wood insults Metal • Metal insults Fire • Fire insults Water
